Warranty Policy

Three-Year Limited Warranty: This warranty applies to all CCTV cameras purchased from WATA except for cameras purchased at a special discounted price. This warranty does not cover DVR devices or other accessories.

Coverage

Years 1 & 2

  • Free labor for camera repair.
  • Free replacement of defective parts.

Year 3

  • Free labor for camera repair.
  • Customer is responsible for the cost of replacement parts.

Exclusions

  • Cameras purchased at a special discounted price.
  • DVR devices and other accessories.
  • Damage caused by: Improper installation, accidents (e.g., drops, fire, water damage), misuse or abuse, acts of God (e.g., lightning strikes, earthquakes), and Unauthorized repairs.
  • Cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, scuffs)
  • Normal wear and tear.

Labour

  • This warranty covers the cost of labor for camera repair performed by authorized technicians.
  • Labor does not include: Installation costs, Shipping costs, and Service calls.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Shipping the defective camera to the authorized repair center.
  • Returning the repaired camera to the customer’s location.
  • Providing proof of purchase (e.g., receipt, invoice).

Warranty Exclusion

  • Physical Damage: Abnormal shape due to damage, chipping, bending, crushing, deformation, cracking, puncturing, or missing pieces.
  • Unauthorized Modifications: Modifications, changes, or repairs performed by anyone other than the company’s authorized service center.
  • Natural Disasters: Damage caused by natural disasters such as floods, lightning, fire, earthquakes, or other acts of God.
  • Misuse and Accidents: Improper use, storage, or accidental damage.
  • Tampering: Modification or alteration of the product’s serial number. Tampering with or removal of the warranty sticker.
  • External Connections: Damage resulting from connections with other devices or equipment.
  • External Factors: Damage caused by external factors such as fire, lightning, floods, power surges, or extreme temperatures.
  • External Component Failure: Damage caused by internal component failure (e.g., circuit board failure) not attributable to a manufacturing defect.

Warranty Termination

  • The warranty for this product will be immediately terminated in any of the situations listed under “Warranty Exclusions.

New Product Replacement Period

The company will replace the product within 7 days or 1 month (Depending on the category and type of product) as follows:

  • The product has a manufacturing defect
  • The product has met the criteria for the warranty
  • The product must be in perfect condition, without damage, cracks, or scratches
  • The buyer must show the receipt or tax invoice as proof of date of purchase

1-Month Product Replacement Policy

This policy applies to CCTV products and recorders (excluding accessories) purchased on or after June 1, 2017.

Eligibility

  • Product Type: Applies only to predetermined models. Excludes products purchased under stock clearance or with special conditions.
  • Condition:
    • The product must be inoperable due to a manufacturing defect.
    • The product must be returned in its original packaging, including all accessories and documentation.
    • The product must be in perfect condition, free from physical damage (e.g., cracks, scratches, dents).
  • Proof of Purchase: The buyer must present the original receipt or tax invoice as proof of purchase.

Replacement Period                         

  • Customers may exchange the defective product within one month of the original purchase date.

Exceptions

This policy does not apply to products that:

  • Suffered physical damage: Abnormal shape due to damage, chipping, bending, crushing, deformation, cracking, puncturing, or missing pieces.
  • Underwent unauthorized modifications: Modified, changed, or repaired by someone other than the company’s authorized service center.
  • Experienced damage from natural disasters: Damaged due to natural disasters such as floods, lightning, fire, earthquakes, or other acts of God.
  • Were misused or involved in accidents: Used or stored incorrectly, or involved in an accident.
  • Had serial number tampered with: Product’s serial number is modified or changed.
  • Had warranty sticker tampered with: Warranty sticker is torn, missing, erased, modified, or covered so that the information cannot be read.
  • Suffered damage from external connections: Damaged due to connections with other devices or equipment.
  • Suffered damage from external factors: Damaged due to external factors such as fire, lightning, floods, power surges, or extreme temperatures.
  • Experienced internal component failure: Damaged by a circuit board or device fire caused by something other than a manufacturing defect.
